Wise May are recruiting for a Head of Talent to undertake a 12 month fixed term contract with a fast paced and extremely busy Accountancy business based in The City. As the Head of Talent you will be responsible for supporting and overseeing all recruitment and resourcing strategies, including commercial aspects such as marketing and budget management. The role requires you to be proactive, work well under pressure and be a team player.

Head of Talent duties and responsibilities:

  • Develop current recruitment and talent management strategies to meet business needs in accordance with Employment Law legislation and GDPR.
  • Support teams in strategic recruitment planning.
  • Overseeing all aspects of hiring from application process through to advertising, screening, interviewing, assessment and offer negotiation.
  • Responsibility for the overall recruitment budget, providing clear metrics/data for team leaders on recruitment spending, ensuring ROI is monitored and commerciality is applied.
  • Supporting each team across the business with their attrition.
  • Lead and deliver on market data reviews, whilst supporting team leaders in the annual remuneration reviews.
  • Manage the overall marketing activities relating to talent, such as the career’s website, advertising platforms and social media platforms/initiatives.

Head of Talent key skills and experience required:

  • Demonstrable experience in talent acquisition within professional services across multiple service lines.
  • A background in agency/executive search recruitment.
  • Solid understanding of UK employment law, relevant to recruitment and hiring practices.
  • Excellent communication and relationship building skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively with team members, stakeholders and hiring managers.
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to work independently and at pace, whilst maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with an applicant tracking system as well as intermediate MS Office Suite skills (Outlook, Word, Excel).
  • A team player, who is willing to work with colleagues to provide a positive experience.
