Wise May are currently recruiting on behalf of a rapidly growing defence organisation for a People Administrator / Advisor to join their expanding Operations team. This is an exciting opportunity reporting into the People Operations Partner. The role is collaborative, within a high-growth environment, offering excellent exposure across the wider business alongside fantastic progression opportunities. This is a full-time permanent opportunity offering hybrid working alongside a flexible, output-focused culture.
Our client is looking for a highly organised and adaptable individual who is comfortable working within a fast-paced environment and enjoys supporting a busy People function across a broad range of HR administration and Advisor responsibilities.
HR Administrator duties and responsibilities:- Provide day-to-day administrative support to the Operations team
- Support onboarding processes for new starters across the business
- Prepare contracts, onboarding documentation and HR paperwork
- Manage employee records and maintain HR systems accurately
- Support benefits administration including private medical and pension queries
- Assist with coordinating Employee Resource Groups and internal initiatives
- Schedule meetings, interviews and onboarding sessions
- Assist with process improvements and wider People projects
- Provide general HR support across multiple departments within the business
- Proactive and solutions-focused mindset with the ability to use initiative and adapt quickly to changing priorities
- Willing to support across a broad range of responsibilities and approach ad hoc tasks with a positive attitude
- Able to think practically and independently when resolving problems and improving processes
- Previous experience in a similar HR or People role
- Strong organisational and administrative skills
- Comfortable working within a fast-paced and evolving environment
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proactive and adaptable approach to work
- Confident managing multiple priorities simultaneously
- Strong Microsoft Office skills
- Experience within a scaling, technical or professional services environment would be advantageous
