We are supporting a leading Wealth Management platform in hiring a Senior Project Manager to lead the delivery of complex, on-premise and hybrid software projects within a private banking/wealth management environment. This is a hands-on delivery role, requiring an individual who has personally driven software development projects end-to-end, not purely overseen them. The position sits at a senior level, contributing to delivery processes and governance, while remaining actively involved in execution across the SDLC.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end delivery of software development projects across on-premise and hybrid WealthTech platforms
- Take a hands-on role in driving SDLC execution, working closely with engineering teams on day-to-day delivery
- Coordinate cross-functional teams (Engineering, QA, Product, DevOps) to ensure aligned and structured delivery
- Run Agile ceremonies (stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, backlog refinement) with active involvement in delivery outcomes
- Track progress against milestones, manage risks/issues and ensure delivery governance is maintained
- Oversee testing phases, UAT cycles, and release readiness with direct involvement in execution
- Work closely with senior stakeholders (Head of Development, Product, Business stakeholders) to align technical delivery with business priorities
- Contribute to and enhance delivery processes, standards and operational discipline across teams
- Maintain clear documentation, reporting and communication across all workstreams
Requirements
- 8+ years’ experience delivering software development projects as a hands-on Project Manager
- Proven track record of personally driving full SDLC delivery, not just oversight or coordination
- Strong experience within Wealth Management/Private Banking environments (essential)
- Demonstrated experience delivering on-premise or hybrid enterprise software platforms
- Solid Agile/Scrum experience, with the ability to operate in a delivery-focused, execution-driven capacity
- Experience working closely with technical teams (Developers, QA, DevOps, BAs) at a detailed level
- Strong delivery governance, organisation and stakeholder management capabilities
- Ability to operate at a senior level while remaining close to the detail and execution
- Hybrid role, need to be able to commute to their London office
- Immediately available or on short notice
This contract role offers the opportunity to transition into a permanent position upon successful completion of the initial term.
