A growing single-family office is seeking a highly organised, commercially minded and proactive Business Manager to support across a diverse portfolio of operating businesses, investments and strategic initiatives. This is a broad and hands-on role offering significant exposure across multiple business functions. Acting as a trusted partner to the principal, you will help oversee day-to-day operations, coordinate strategic projects, support new ventures and ensure the smooth running of both existing and emerging businesses across the group. The successful candidate will thrive in an entrepreneurial environment, balancing strategic thinking with practical execution whilst working closely with internal teams, portfolio businesses and external advisers. This role is ideally suited to a commercially minded operator who enjoys working across multiple businesses and functions, rather than a specialist focused on a single discipline.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the principal in the management and coordination of multiple operating businesses and investment ventures.
- Drive operational improvements, implement scalable processes and identify efficiencies across the group.
- Lead and coordinate strategic projects, ensuring delivery against agreed objectives and timelines.
- Support the launch, development and integration of new business ventures and initiatives.
- Develop and monitor key performance indicators, dashboards, and reporting frameworks across portfolio businesses.
- Work closely with finance, legal, HR and external advisers to ensure effective business operations and governance.
- Assist with recruitment activities and organisational planning across the group.
- Prepare management reports, business updates, presentations and briefing materials for senior stakeholders.
- Identify operational challenges and commercial opportunities, implementing solutions where appropriate.
- Support budgeting, resource planning and business performance reviews.
- Manage relationships with suppliers, service providers, consultants and key external partners.
- Assist with acquisitions, restructures, business transformation projects, and other ad hoc initiatives as required.
