Urgency: Immediate Start

WiseGlow is a rapidly growing Solar EPC operating across the UK, backed by a global network of over 13,000 engineers and a 200MW+ track record in Europe. With a secured 10MW+ commercial pipeline for 2026, we are urgently seeking an experienced, self-motivated Freelance Project Surveyor & Client Liaison to represent our brand in Scotland and the North of England. You will be the face of WiseGlow on-site, responsible for both technical due diligence and high-level client relationship management during the pre-construction phase.

Key Responsibilities

  • Technical Site Surveys: Conduct comprehensive on-site technical surveys for Commercial & Industrial (C&I) solar PV and battery storage (BESS) projects. Assess roof structures, orientations, shading, and measure dimensions accurately. Evaluate existing electrical infrastructure (M&E, switchrooms, inverter locations, containment routing, and G99 grid connection feasibility). Produce detailed survey packs, photographic evidence, and technical reports for our central design team.
  • Commercial & Client Liaison: Act as the professional, "white-label" face of WiseGlow, managing client relations during site visits. Engage with business owners, factory managers, and stakeholders to understand their operational needs and address preliminary project queries. Spot commercial risks or upsell opportunities on-site (e.g., roof repairs needed, future EV charging infrastructure requirements) and feed insights back to the commercial team. Ensure a seamless, professional customer experience that protects and enhances our company’s reputation.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Industry Experience: Proven track record in the UK solar PV sector (C&I experience above 50kW is highly desirable).
  • Technical Background: Strong understanding of solar PV engineering, roofing types, and commercial electrical systems (18th Edition, NICEIC, or electrical qualifications are a major plus).
  • Commercial Mindset: Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills; comfortable representing a global brand to corporate clients.
  • Logistics & Tools: Must be self-employed (CIS registered or operating via a Ltd company), possess your own transport, full UK driving license, and standard surveying equipment.
  • Compliance: Up-to-date Health & Safety accreditations (e.g., CSCS card, SSIP/SafeContractor awareness).
