We’re looking for a Staff UX Researcher (Quantitative major with qualitative skills) to join Wise in London, working within the Consumer Account Chapter. The Consumer Account Chapter is responsible for guiding personal customers through setting up Wise and doing their first financial job in a way that’s clear, easy and delightful. At Staff level, you will define how these experiences are understood, measured, and improved at scale, ensuring they are fair, transparent, and effective for both customers and internal agents. You will join a community of more than 20 researchers at Wise, 10 of whom are Staff UX Researchers, who are senior individual contributors with broad autonomy and cross-organizational influence at Wise.

Here’s How You’ll Contribute:

  • Lead high-impact quantitative (with some qualitative) research end-to-end: own quantitative research from problem definition through analysis and recommendation, focusing on the chapter’s highest-impact questions and delivering decision-ready insights.
  • Measure how customers discover, choose, and perceive our features.
  • Design and own metrics around the relevance, awareness, and perception of our features with consumers; make them the guardrails that drive teams to deliver high quality experiences.
  • Shape product direction through evidence.
  • Influence product roadmaps and experimentation by ensuring research insights materially shape what is built, how success is evaluated, and how trade-offs are made.
  • Raise the bar for quantitative UX rigor through partnership.

This role will give you the opportunity to:

  • Uncover problems at massive scale: your work will impact how millions of customers join Wise and how dozens of internal teams build onboarding experiences.
  • Shape one of Wise’s most critical trust engines: your work will directly influence customer trust, agent effectiveness, and Wise’s ability to scale mitigation responsibly.
  • Grow the quantitative research craft at Wise: you’ll contribute to how quantitative UX research is practiced at scale, mentoring through example, shaping frameworks, and influencing how research integrates with data science and experimentation.

A Bit About You:

  • You have deep, demonstrable experience leading quantitative UX research in product-led teams, independently framing, executing, and communicating complex research that informs real product and business decisions, and you enjoy developing qualitative insights to complement the quantitative insights.
  • You are fluent in empirical research methods (e.g., surveys, behavioral segmentation, regression, journey and path analysis) and apply them thoughtfully, choosing methods based on the decision at hand rather than novelty or preference.
  • You enjoy refining and developing your qualitative research skills when you get the opportunity.
  • You intentionally combine quantitative and qualitative inputs, triangulating evidence to reach confident, well-supported conclusions rather than isolated findings.
  • You work effectively with large-scale event-level and behavioral data, using analytical languages such as SQL, Python, or R to produce rigorous, reproducible analysis.
  • You prioritise ruthlessly, directing research effort toward the questions that matter most for customers, risk mitigation, and the business.
  • You communicate insights clearly and persuasively, using narratives and visualisations to support alignment and action.
  • You are comfortable collaborating across disciplines, and influencing decisions through partnership rather than authority.

And as a heads up, this role probably isn’t for you if:

  • Your experience is primarily market research and/or academia; we do consider career changers, but you would need to show some UX research experience.
  • You prefer working from well-defined research briefs, rather than helping shape the questions, metrics, and direction of work.
  • You are looking for a role with minimal ambiguity, rather than one that requires independent judgment and influence.
  • You don’t have extensive and demonstrable experience in UX research within the tech/product industry.
