Company Description
Wise is a global technology company, building the best way to move and manage the world’s money. Min fees. Max ease. Full speed. Whether people and businesses are sending money to another country, spending abroad, or making and receiving international payments, Wise is on a mission to make their lives easier and save them money.
As part of our team, you will be helping us create an entirely new network for the world's money. For everyone, everywhere. Join us as a Platform Engineer in the Risk Domain, where you'll build the systems that make safe, global products possible. As part of our Platform Engineering team, you'll be at the intersection of Product and Risk – crafting systems that allow internal teams to ship faster, safer, and smarter. You won't just be writing code. You'll be building foundational services that other teams rely on to launch features across global markets.
How we work:
You'll be joining a team that values autonomy, creativity, and collaboration. We're building a platform from the ground up, with the support and reach of a product org that ships globally. Your work won't just scale technology – it'll scale trust.
What will you be working on?
- Accelerate delivery: Enable product teams to launch faster with built-in risk tooling
- Empower risk teams: Give them the systems they need to assess, respond, and protect—without blocking development
- Drive real impact: Your work will directly reduce fraud, improve trust, and help us scale safely
What do you need?
- Passion for building at scale – You've worked on high-throughput systems and know what it takes to keep services fast and reliable
- Deep interest in system design – You think in terms of platforms, not just features
- A desire to build meaningful infrastructure – You care about enabling others, not just shipping your own code
Nice to Have
- Experience working in fintech or high-trust domains like risk, identity, or compliance
For everyone, everywhere. We're people building money without borders — without judgement or prejudice, too. We believe teams are strongest when they are diverse, equitable and inclusive. We're proud to have a truly international team, and we celebrate our differences. Inclusive teams help us live our values and make sure every Wiser feels respected, empowered to contribute towards our mission and able to progress in their careers.
