Wise is a global technology company, building the best way to move and manage the world’s money.
Min fees. Max ease. Full speed.
Whether people and businesses are sending money to another country, spending abroad, or making and receiving international payments, Wise is on a mission to make their lives easier and save them money.
As part of our team, you will be helping us create an entirely new network for the world's money.
For everyone, everywhere.
More about our mission and what we offer.
Your customers are the developers, security teams, and operational teams at our partners. Companies like Morgan Stanley, N26 and Ramp rely on Wise Platform APIs to run critical payments journeys in production. It’s your job to ensure they can connect securely, operate reliably, and troubleshoot issues quickly — without needing manual support.
As the Senior Product Manager for API Tooling, you will own the roadmap and execution for the API access, security and webhook infrastructure and tooling of Wise Platform API integrations. You’ll focus on reducing partner-impacting incidents (especially auth- and webhook-related), improving observability and self-serve troubleshooting, and modernising the auth and security foundations so the platform can scale safely over the next few years. You will partner and work closely with the Security, Account Access and Wise Platform teams to build API solutions suitable for our enterprise partnerships.
Your mission: Make Wise Platform integrations secure-by-default and reliable in production, with self-serve operational API visibility that reduces failures and support load.
What you’ll be working on
-
Own the Wise Platform partner API access, webhook service and WP API security offering, making it easy for developers to securely connect and troubleshoot our APIs.
-
Design in partnership with the Security team, credential management, authentication strategies, and secure connection protocols that balance security with developer experience.
-
Build and improve webhook reliability, observability, and usability.
-
Deliver API and webhook logs and diagnostics tooling that helps partners and internal teams investigate and recover from issues faster.
-
Ensure the auth and security infrastructure of Wise Platform is robust and scalable for the long term service demands.
In this role, you will;
Own the roadmap
-
Define and execute a roadmap centred on secure access, reliability, and operational excellence in production.
Drive execution
-
Work closely with engineering to ship improvements that measurably reduce incidents, support load, and time-to-resolution.
-
Make pragmatic trade-offs between scope, security, reliability, and delivery speed.
Collaborate cross-functionally
-
Partner with platform engineering, security, compliance, support, sales, and other product teams to deliver a cohesive partner experience.
-
Align internal teams on ownership boundaries and operational processes for incident prevention and response.
Be customer-obsessed
-
Engage directly with partner developers and operational teams to understand real production pain (auth failures, webhook issues, visibility gaps).
-
Use data and incident learnings to prioritise the highest-risk and highest-impact improvements.
Measure and iterate
-
Define success metrics around reliability and operability (e.g., incident rates, auth failure rates, webhook delivery success, support ticket drivers, time-to-resolution, self-serve adoption).
Deliver impact
-
Deliver measurable reductions in partner-impacting incidents, improved troubleshooting speed, and stronger security posture that supports enterprise adoption.
Qualifications
Experience
-
6+ years of product management experience, ideally with APIs, platform products, security, identity, auth or infrastructure.
Technical aptitude
-
Strong understanding of authentication and access patterns (e.g., OAuth2, API keys, JOSE, mTLS), identity/access lifecycle, and operational reliability concepts.
-
Comfortable discussing architecture, threat/risk trade-offs, and reliability/observability with engineers.
Customer-centric mindset
-
Empathy for partner developers and operators; you can translate production pain into clear product priorities and outcomes.
Analytical & data-driven
-
Able to set measurable goals and use metrics and incident data to drive prioritisation and iteration.
Execution-focused
-
Track record of shipping impactful platform improvements in complex, cross-functional environments.
Strong communication & collaboration
-
Can clearly communicate technical topics to technical and non-technical stakeholders, build alignment, and drive decisions.
