Requirements
- Professional experience with Java or other JVM-based languages, including the Spring framework.
- Proven experience designing and operating CI/CD pipelines, distributed systems, and concurrent systems.
- Strong product mindset, accountability, and the ability to drive projects independently while making data-driven decisions with the customer in mind.
- Experience with relational and non-relational databases, including query optimisation and designing resilient schemas.
- Exceptional fundamentals, sharp problem-solving ability, and a commitment to Test Driven Development and best coding practices.
- Excellent communication skills to articulate complex technical concepts across teams including Product, Data Science, and Investigations.
- Familiarity with the machine learning lifecycle, including data pipelines, feature engineering, and deploying ML systems into production is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Join our Senior Software Engineer team in our critical Account Integrity function.
- Solve complex, real-world adversarial problems to help protect our global customer base.
- Continuously improve our financial crime prevention infrastructure and systems.
- Take end-to-end ownership of projects focused on building and refining critical controls to protect customer accounts from account takeovers.
- Drive backend and frontend development for our crime prevention and detection systems, spending around 80% of the time on backend work and 20% on frontend work.
