Position Overview:
We are seeking a Software Engineer based in our London office, offering a flexible combination of in-office and remote work. As an integral part of our mission, you will work in a team dedicated to launching and optimizing new products, building the most convenient and scalable financial services experience for people and businesses, which is compliant with local regulatory guidelines.
How we work:
- We want our product to be instant, so we integrate with the latest technology and local payment rails to make money movement instant and eventually free.
- We want our product to be convenient; our customers should know what is required from them to use Wise.
- We also care about effectiveness: only ask from the customer what we really need, easy for them to provide and is effective at stopping fincrime.
- We want our processes to be scalable. We are working on automating the process for our team, any way we can.
This position is responsible for building and managing the infrastructure that enables Wise to send/receive money in MEA markets. It helps Wise’s growth rate by unlocking core functionality through the power of partner APIs and cross-border payments infrastructure - in short, builds products that will help Wise reach consumers and small businesses wherever they are managing their money in global environments. Additionally, you will take part in on-call rotation and provide support to operational teams in case of incidents, ensuring that our platform is safe and secure for our customers and available all the time.
What will you be working on?
- You’ll integrate with several local partners and government institutions to power our financial services.
- You’ll multiply Wise’s growth rate by unlocking core functionality through the power of APIs and cross-border payments infrastructure.
- You’ll scale a best-in-class product across MEA while ensuring the learnings you have in-market are shared back with our other global regions.
