Whether people and businesses are sending money to another country, spending abroad, or making and receiving international payments, Wise is on a mission to make their lives easier and save them money. As part of our team, you will be helping us create an entirely new network for the world’s money.

As the Regional Marketing Lead, you are the owner of Wise’s growth engine in Spain (you will also initially hold interim responsibility for France), bridging the gap between regional brand vision and local market reality. Please note this role requires native Spanish language skills. This is a high-impact, hands-on role. You will dive deep into insights and data to build our brand, find our next growth lever, pivot quickly based on performance analytics, and lead the end-to-end execution of full-funnel campaigns. You’ll be responsible for making Wise culturally resonant and commercially dominant in these key European markets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic ownership: Develop and own the growth roadmap for Spain and France through deep understanding of the customer, brand, market, and commercial priorities. Identify key audiences and define local positioning to solve local customer tensions and drive Wise’s relevance.
  • Campaign management: Develop and execute full-funnel campaigns and product launches across digital and offline channels, ensuring every touchpoint is optimised for conversion and retention.
  • Data-driven optimisation: Partner with data teams to measure incrementality and brand lift, ensuring every Euro spent is an investment in scalable growth.
  • Agile experimentation: Continuously add and experiment with new growth opportunities and marketing tactics while solidifying proven channels. Champion a test-and-learn approach to demonstrate the incrementality and ROI of marketing spend.
  • Cross-functional orchestration: Work closely with Product, Analytics, Insight, Creative, PR, and Central media channel teams to ensure successful and efficient rollouts, in line with the local compliance and regulatory context.
  • P&L accountability: Manage the regional budget balancing aggressive growth with efficiency.
Requirements
  • Spain expert: Native Spanish speaker. Understand the specific nuances of the Spanish financial behaviour and consumer landscape. Ready to apply expertise to the French market in the interim, ensuring continuity and growth.
  • Full-funnel specialist: Senior marketing leader with strong expertise in both brand and performance marketing. Proven track record in driving brand health, customer acquisition, and retention across the entire lifecycle, from high-impact TV and OOH campaigns to referral loops and CRM.
  • Insight-led & customer-centric: Track record of identifying specific customer pain points and turning them into creative strategies that break through the noise and drive cultural relevance.
  • Analytical rigour: Comfortable with dashboards. Extract “the why” and translate it into “what’s next.”
  • Hands-on experience: Proven track record executing with excellence in autonomy. Comfortable writing a local brief as well as presenting a long-term strategy to leadership.
  • Collaborative leader: Know how to influence central teams and external partners to get things done in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.
  • Result-focused: Ability to think 12 months ahead while delivering on this week’s KPIs.
