Wise is a global technology company, building the best way to move and manage the world’s money. Min fees. Max ease. Full speed. Whether people and businesses are sending money to another country, spending abroad, or making and receiving international payments, Wise is on a mission to make their lives easier and save them money.
At Wise, we build and launch truly amazing products designed to give our customers smart & impactful solutions to their international money challenges. But creating ground-breaking products is only half the battle - we need everyone to know about them, understand them, and feel genuinely inspired to use them. As a Senior Strategist, you will be responsible for bridging the gap between product innovation and multi-channel marketing campaigns. You won't just make sure we talk about our products across every marketing touchpoint - you’ll ensure we do so with bold and inspiring creatives.
Your mission is to take complex, functional product updates and transform them into engaging creative narratives across the entire customer lifecycle - from paid media (TikTok, Meta, YouTube) to CRM and our flagship Mission Updates.
What you’ll be doing:
- Inspire product adoption across all marketing channels: Take full ownership of how we sell all Wise’s products & features across different marketing channels - including paid media, organic, and CRM.
- Drive messaging consistency & alignment: Act as the owner for how Wise talks about its products and features across marketing channels - in particular translating functional product mechanics into distinctive & inspiring creatives that drive product adoption.
- Reinvent & own quarterly customer comms: Lead the strategic direction and storytelling of our quarterly "Mission Update" customer comms - turning company & product updates into engaging & memorable moments for our customers.
- Connect data to creative impact: Interpret channel performance data and creative insights to refine our messaging and ensure every creative asset drives measurable results.
- Ensuring strategic clarity: Helping teams diagnose and articulate the specific problems our marketing communications need to solve, and ensuring our creative work clearly answers these challenges.
- Spark creative excellence: Craft sharp, inspiring creative briefs that excite our in-house creative team to produce bold & distinctive performance creative.
- Foster collaboration: Build tight relationships with creative, media, and regional teams to ensure our strategies are brought to life effectively and consistently across all markets.
What you’ll bring to the role:
- A proven track record as a marketing generalist or creative strategist, with a track record of launching campaigns that turn complex concepts into simple, inspiring ideas.
- A knack for turning functional product launches into fun, engaging narratives that will get customers using our products.
- Strong understanding of how to flex messaging narratives based on channel constraints (i.e., short-form video vs. long-form CRM emails) and customer lifecycle stages (acquisition vs. retention).
- Comfortable interpreting channel performance metrics (i.e. CTR / CPA / conversion ... etc) to understand which creative narratives resonate best, and iterating for maximum impact.
- The ability to synthesise ambiguous data and complex information into simple, powerful ideas and actionable plans.
- Excellent collaboration and influencing skills, with the ability to unite product, creative, and performance media teams around a bold vision.
- A self-starter attitude - comfortable identifying comms gaps & pushing initiatives through to completion.
- The ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-moving environment.
