Responsibilities
- Build and maintain backend systems for the Business Pricing team.
- Lead a small team of engineers, collaborating daily with product managers, data analysts and designers.
- Improve pricing plans and the customer experience for new and existing business customers.
- Write testable code and adopt unit and integration tests.
- Own and ship features end‐to‐end, from planning to release and monitoring adoption.
- Apply best coding practices, conduct code reviews and give open feedback.
- Communicate complex technical concepts to non‐technical stakeholders.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in Java, Kotlin or another JVM‐based language.
- Strong experience with Spring, relational databases, distributed and concurrent systems (including Kafka).
- Experience collaborating with product, data science, analytics and design teams.
- Strong test‐driven development habits.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate to non‐technical audiences.
- Experience improving team culture and processes.
- Product mindset, customer‐centric focus and data‐driven decision making.
- Independent problem‐solving with end‐to‐end ownership of projects.
First Six Months
- Onboard, understand team, squad and guild vision.
- Learn the FinTech domain and company tech culture.
- Fully develop new features from planning to release and monitor adoption.
- Participate in two quarterly plannings and propose ideas to advance the product.
