Salary: £66,000 - 106,000 per year
Requirements:
- Deep expertise in building reusable UI components and tooling with Compose
- Experience integrating with theme architecture and managing design tokens globally, including colors, spacing, and typography
- Ability to build clean, intuitive, and highly flexible APIs that other developers can easily integrate
- Experience with visual regression testing and optimizing UI performance to ensure zero dropped frames
- Strong commitment to building accessible interfaces with inclusive design in mind, and using testing tools to improve usability
- Ability to explore, discuss, evaluate, and communicate complex technical problems with curiosity, open-mindedness, clarity, and objectivity
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional peers and solve problems independently and proactively
- Eagerness to learn and share knowledge, and to contribute to and improve technical documentation and RFCs
- Bonus experience contributing to and helping grow design systems or pattern libraries
- Bonus exposure to authoring tooling and automation
- Bonus comfort navigating Figma or similar design tools
- High attention to detail

Responsibilities:
- Participate in or lead other engineers through the full lifecycle of a feature, from discovery and technical specification through authoring, testing, documenting, releasing, presenting, and maintaining it
- Help troubleshoot, fix, and support other product teams in resolving problems related to our work
- Represent and champion Design Systems initiatives in front of both technical and non-technical audiences
- Collaborate closely with teams across the company to deliver impactful experiences to our internal and external consumers
- Support new Wise engineers, helping them ramp up on the Design System, tooling, and best practices
