Job Description
Due to continued and rapid growth, we are on the hunt for a Senior Analytics Manager to lead the analytics for our Safeguarding and Ledger teams in Shoreditch, London. You will be part of the team that helps pilot the rocket ship.
What you’ll be doing
- Your principal responsibility will be to make an impact and lead us to better decisions for the company and our customers.
- Leading a team of analysts who will be responsible for curating datasets, surfacing metrics, some statistical modelling, and deeper dive analysis that we expect to influence the direction of the team and the company.
- You will also be the conduit between the team and the company. You’ll be expected to help stakeholders shape and understand what they want and need, and to help the team shape their work to fit that need.
- The team you’re applying for will be focused on the following:
- Building process to manage the integrity of our real-time ledger, which covers tens of millions of money movements a day and on which all of our trading operations and liquidity management depend.
- Helping to manage our Safeguarding process, which is very complex, expensive and absolutely crucial to Wise’s ability to operate in any market.
- Both teams are very heavily oriented around building solid and scalable data integrity management at speed and scale, and face off very heavily with complex engineering and regulatory requirements.
Who you are
- 5-6 years experience as an analyst and 2-5 years leading others (can be overlapping).
- Strong analytical ability.
- Intermediate to advanced SQL skills.
- 2-4 years experience in similar roles.
- Data visualisation and storytelling ability.
- Ability to self-organise and manage stakeholders.
- Demonstration of impact/going above and beyond basic role requirements.
- Python/R.
- Understanding of stats and statistical modelling (measures of central tendency, understanding of variance and testing, some regression modelling).
- Mathematical background.
- Previous background in Finance and Treasury not essential for the role.
Desirable
- DBT.
- Data modelling in a warehouse context.
- Understanding of testing and experimental design.
- Legally authorised to work in the UK.
