Whether people and businesses are sending money to another country, spending abroad, or making and receiving international payments, Wise is on a mission to make their lives easier and save them money.

The role

You’ll join the Finance Tribe at a pivotal stage of Wise’s growth. Wise has listed in the US and continues to expand globally. We are investing significantly in our finance technology, processes and teams so that we can meet the standards expected of a global financial technology company, while continuing to support Wise’s rapid growth.

As Product Lead, you’ll lead and grow a team of Product Managers and Implementation Managers, setting a high bar for product strategy, execution and ownership. You’ll set direction across a large cross-functional organisation, working closely with engineering, finance, controls, operations, analytics, data science and senior business leaders.

You’ll work on complex, high-impact problems. You’ll collaborate with teams across Wise on technically challenging problems that sit at the heart of how Wise operates as a global financial technology company. This will include:

  • ERP selection and implementation
  • Wider finance systems and data product strategy
  • Automation of key finance processes
  • Tooling to support SOX compliance, auditability and strong financial controls
  • Improving the speed, quality and reliability of financial close and reporting

This is a Product Lead 1 role.

Qualifications

  • Strong product ownership: You have significant hands-on Product experience and a track record of building, scaling and improving complex products, platforms or data products. Ideally you have experience working with risk and controls, and solving for auditability and operational resilience.
  • Finance systems, data and process expertise: You have a strong background in finance systems, data products, financial processes and the demands of building for controlled, audited environments. You have experience with Tier 1 ERPs such as SAP or Oracle.
  • Analytical strength: You are comfortable with data. You use data to understand problems, measure progress and make better decisions.
  • Clear communication: You can make financial, technical and organisational problems understandable. You are able to frame problems clearly, align senior stakeholders and help teams prioritise in a noisy domain.
  • Leadership experience: You have led Product Managers before. You know how to coach, challenge and develop people while creating clarity and momentum.
  • Strong problem solving: You are comfortable challenging the status quo. You bring structure to ambiguous problems, make pragmatic trade-offs and stay focused on the customer and the Wise mission.
  • AI Comfortable: using AI and automation to discover, simplify and solve problems.

We believe teams are strongest when they are diverse, equitable and inclusive. We're proud to have a truly international team, and we celebrate our differences. Inclusive teams help us live our values and make sure every Wiser feels respected, empowered to contribute towards our mission and able to progress in their careers.
