Overview
In this role, you help Wise build a scalable, secure global platform by strengthening IT SOX controls. You work with cross-functional teams to rationalize scope, onboard new systems, and map dependencies to support risk-based assurance. You’ll contribute to testing and improving ITGCs/ITACs across cloud and SaaS environments, communicating clearly with engineers and stakeholders. Your work enables compliant, efficient operations that keep Wise’s mission—moving money securely and with minimal friction—ahead of scale.
Responsibilities
- Scope rationalization and optimization of IT SOX across applications and infrastructure
- Onboard new systems by establishing RACMs and identifying ITGCs/ITACs
- Document and maintain end-to-end dependency maps (data flows, infra ties, interfaces)
- Support controls testing (Design & Operating Effectiveness) in cloud and SaaS environments
- Stakeholder management across Finance, Risk, Security, Platform to communicate SOX 404 expectations
Key requirements
- 3+ years in Technology Risk or IT Audit with a focus on SOX
- Deep knowledge of SOX 404, COSO, and IT control frameworks (NIST, ISO27001)
- Experience with first-time SOX audits in cloud-native environments
- Understanding of Change Management in CI/CD and Access Management in microservices
- Experience with AWS, Terraform, GitHub, Jira, Okta, SailPoint (preferred)
- Clear communicator with ability to translate technical details into audit-ready documentation
- Stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration
- Analytical mindset with attention to risk and coverage quality
