Due to continued and rapid growth we’re on the hunt for an Analytics Director to lead our Group Finance Analytics function in Bishopsgate, London. You’ll be part of the team that helps pilot the rocket ship.
What you’ll be doing:
- Lead and nurture a team of about 10 talented analysts, helping them grow and deliver great results.
- Be the go-to person for the Data Engineering and Regulatory Reporting teams.
- Connect with senior decision-makers in various finance areas, like Product, Engineering, Controls, and Tax, to share insights and influence strategies.
- Team up with finance folks to brainstorm and come up with better ways to manage and share data.
- Make sure our data processes meet legal requirements and support our big-picture goals.
- Push for smarter, data-driven choices that make the company better.
- Keep our data accurate and reliable so it’s ready for important reports.
- Bridge gaps between data teams and other parts of the business for smooth data flow.
- Work on improving how we handle data so it’s easy for everyone to use.
- Stay on top of data trends and find ways to make our processes even better.
Who you are:
- 5-6 years experience as an analyst and 2-5 years leading others (can be overlapping)
- Strong analytical ability
- Intermediate to advanced SQL skills
- Finance background preferred
- Data visualisation and storytelling ability
- Ability to self organise and manage stakeholders
- Very good grasp of data modelling and the tools associated with it. Understanding of how data is processed with technical services also a plus
- Demonstration of impact/going above and beyond basic role requirements
- Python/R
- Understanding of stats and statistical modelling (measures of central tendency, understanding of variance and testing, some regression modelling)
Desirable:
- DBT
- Data modelling in a warehouse context
- Understanding of testing and experimental design
- Legally authorised to work in the UK
