We are looking for an experienced and innovative Global Reward Partnering Lead to join the team. This is a pivotal role which will support Wise’s growth as it continues to scale and enter new markets. You will be responsible for leading a team that takes global ownership of the total reward structure, strategy, and benchmarking. You’ll partner with the wider People team, functional leads, and work cross-collaboratively with business leads, to drive greater global consistency on how reward is managed across the business. This is an exciting opportunity to define benchmarking processes and build compensation structures across a highly complex, global business, whilst creating a strong employee value proposition.
Role responsibilities:
- Supporting the design and development of Wise’s Reward strategy to align with business objectives.
- Ensuring the strategy supports attraction, retention, and motivation of employees.
- Overseeing the benchmarking process and ensuring it is effective and robust.
- Lead on market intelligence and internal data to ensure that reward remains competitive.
- Utilizing data to assess the effectiveness of total rewards programs.
- Designing and leading the annual reward review processes including preparation of annual salary budgets in advance, collaborating with the finance team, working with the business & people partners.
- Preparing and presenting reports to the People Leadership Team on rewards metrics.
- Regularly engaging with key stakeholders and looking for ways to create efficient and effective processes.
- Managing a team of 3-4 Reward Partners.
- Nurture and develop the team into a strong performing global function.
- Partnering closely with parts of the organisation to ensure compliance with all applicable local laws, as well as company policies regarding reward and any future incentive programs.
- Ensuring that employees clearly understand their rewards through communication strategies, including presentations, workshops, and informational materials.
- Work with the other SMEs within the wider People team to build on employee communications.
Qualifications:
- Significant experience in reward, ideally operating in a global or regional fast-paced environment.
- Experienced in partnering with external organisations to ensure competitive reward and deep expertise of global benchmarking.
- Ability to think strategically and align total rewards programs with the organisation's business objectives and overall strategy.
- In-depth knowledge of reward principles, salary structures, incentive programs, job families and market trends.
- Analytically very strong, comfortable working with complex data sets and deep market analysis to drive effective decision making.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with executives, HR professionals, and other stakeholders.
- Strong leadership skills and executive presence.
- Ability to communicate complex compensation to employees at all levels.
- Experience in leading and managing change, especially related to rewards programs when required.
- Ability to negotiate and influence stakeholders on compensation and reward matters.
- Interpersonal skills with the ability to develop and nurture talent.
- Fostering a collaborative working environment which drives high performing teams will be important.
- Experience in leading global stock programs within listed technology businesses.
- Experience in designing and developing North American reward strategies.
