Wise is a global technology company, building the best way to move and manage the world’s money. We are seeking a highly experienced, dynamic, and mission-driven Editor-in-Chief to lead the editorial strategy and drive content quality across all of our Owned Sites. The Owned Sites team acts like a startup within Wise. We are part of the marketing team, focused on acquiring new customers, driving revenue, and establishing a trusted voice through our portfolio of Owned websites.
As Editor-in-Chief, you will be the ultimate custodian of our brand voice and content quality. You will shape the entire editorial output, ensuring that every piece of content is authoritative, engaging, compliant, and optimised for both audience trust and search performance.
Your Mission
- Drive editorial standards: Take full ownership of all editorial standards, ensuring every piece of content is accurate, high-quality, and aligned with the brand's mission.
- Be the face of the Brand: Serve as the primary spokesperson for Expatica.com and all of our Owned websites with press and media.
- Build brand credibility: Establish and maintain a strong public author profile (featured in trade magazines, national press) to elevate the site's authority and recognition.
- Lead video & social Presence: Own and manage the brand's social media presence. Be confident on camera to create engaging video content for the website and social channels.
- Oversee partner content: Direct the creation of content for diverse platforms, including writing branded content and crafting engaging material for newsletters.
- Ensure compliance: Maintain a strong, proactive handle on compliance and legal requirements related to all published content.
Qualifications
- You are an established editorial leader with proven track record of progressively responsible experience in journalism, publishing, or content marketing, preferably within a relevant industry.
- You possess deep, demonstrable experience with EEATs principles and how to strategically apply them to content creation for superior SEO results.
- You have an existing, strong author profile with a proven track record of being featured in trade magazines or national press.
- You are an exceptional communicator and confident public speaker, comfortable serving as the primary spokesperson for the brand.
- You are confident on camera and experienced in producing video content for both web and social media.
- You possess a profound understanding of content compliance and can navigate complex regulatory environments.
- You are a self-starter who can strategically manage an editorial calendar, lead a team (or freelancers), and own the execution across multiple platforms.
