We are hiring for an SEO Commercial Content Manager to join our growing Owned Sites team at Wise. We’re looking for someone who sits at the intersection of SEO strategy, content development, and performance marketing. You’ll own the roadmap for new commercial verticals - identifying opportunities, launching content, and optimising for revenue.
This role sits at the intersection of SEO strategy, content development, and performance marketing. The Owned Sites team acts like a startup within Wise. We are part of the marketing team, focused on acquiring new customers and driving revenue through a portfolio of specialised websites.
As the SEO Commercial Content Manager, you will be directly responsible for identifying and scaling new content opportunities that drive direct financial results. You will use data and keyword research to launch entire new content verticals, ensuring every piece of content is a high-performing revenue driver. A great example of this is Expatica.com, where your role involves proactively identifying new, high-value user needs (e.g., global e-sims) and driving the creation of new content verticals across locales. You will manage this process from keyword research to publishing conversion-optimised articles, ultimately using SEO and content strategy to capture new audiences and maximise measurable revenue from commercial partnerships.
Your Mission
- Size up and build new verticals: Identify, scope, and launch entirely new commercial content verticals that have not yet been explored. This includes end-to-end ownership of new content initiatives from comprehensive keyword research to final publication.
- Content performance and optimisation: Proactively monitor existing commercial content to prevent content decay. Continuously optimise articles for better search visibility, conversion rates, and revenue generation.
- Affiliate management & maintenance: Own the optimisation of all in-content commercial elements. This includes updating partner listings, replacing affiliate links, and ensuring the accuracy and optimal placement of all our partners.
- Performance analysis: Maintain a strong, granular understanding of affiliate marketing and performance marketing metrics such as EPV (Earnings Per Visitor), EPC (Earnings Per Click), and overall revenue. Use this data to inform content strategy and optimisation decisions.
- Cross-functional Strategy: Work closely with the Affiliate & Partnership Manager to determine which emerging commercial verticals and partnerships offer the highest potential for content expansion and revenue growth. You will also engage regularly with other channels across the marketing mix.
- Briefing and quality control: Write clear, detailed content briefs for freelancers or internal writers and oversee the editorial process to ensure published content meets high SEO and commercial standards.
- AI Workflows: Design and deploy AI‑assisted workflows to dramatically accelerate the content lifecycle.
Qualifications
- You have a strong background in SEO and content marketing with vast experience focused on commercial or affiliate content.
- You possess a proven ability to size up market opportunities using keyword research and competitive analysis to launch new content areas successfully.
- You are highly analytical and comfortable diving into performance marketing data, understanding how metrics like EPV and EPC translate into content effectiveness.
- You have hands‑on experience in affiliate link management and content monetisation, including using affiliate tracking platforms.
- You are a proactive self‑starter who can independently manage complex projects from ideation through to optimisation.
- You have excellent written and verbal communication skills, necessary for briefing writers and collaborating with commercial partners.
- Experience with advanced SEO tools (e.g., Ahrefs, SEMrush, GSC) and analytics platforms is essential.
