Wise is a global technology company, building the best way to move and manage the world's money. Min fees. Max ease. Full speed. Whether people and businesses are sending money to another country, spending abroad, or making and receiving international payments, Wise is on a mission to make their lives easier and save them money. As part of our team, you will be helping us create an entirely new network for the world's money. For everyone, everywhere.

We are seeking an experienced Senior Business Development Manager to join our Wise Platform team in EMEA. In this role, you will help deliver world-class API payment solutions to some of the largest enterprises, fintechs, and digital platforms globally—powered by Wise's cutting-edge infrastructure. Wise Platform has already launched and scaled successful partnerships with tech giants such as GooglePay, Monzo, Spendesk, Qonto, Bolt, Deel & Morgan Stanley.

In EMEA we have proven product-market fit and established market demand, and we are now looking for our first dedicated sales hire to take full ownership of the Online Platform vertical. This hire will be instrumental in converting our initial market momentum into a repeatable engine of growth—scaling our success across Europe by capturing the region's premier platforms across spend management, travel, ecommerce, PSPs, workforce management, and marketplaces.

Because this is a foundational appointment for Wise Platform, the career path is entirely yours to shape. We are looking for an entrepreneurial builder for the region who will use this high-impact role to either: lead a team of their own, or operate as a top-performing Individual Contributor (IC) delivering our most complex and valuable deals, by securing partnerships with some of Europe's largest tech companies.

A bit about the role:

  • Based in our London office, you will sit at the heart of our commercial engine, collaborating with our EMEA and Global Platform teams worldwide.
  • Shape the Product & Strategy: Act as the strategic bridge between the market and our ProdEng team. Your insights will directly steer our product roadmap and define our strategy for Europe.
  • Unlock New growth potential: Uncover untapped revenue opportunity for the vertical by playing a hands-on role in establishing our sales presence and product-market-fit within new sectors.
  • Drive Cross-Functional Wins: Collaborate and learn from Product Management, Engineering, Compliance, Legal, and Implementation teams to bring complex partnerships to life.

Your mission:

  • Collaborate with the Wise Platform team to develop, secure, and execute a robust pipeline of enterprise platform partnerships in EMEA, driving product innovation, revenue, and volume growth for Wise.
  • Support the digital platforms vertical team strategy both in EMEA and globally.
  • Lead market analysis efforts to identify emerging trends, opportunities, and potential risks, providing insights to support strategic decision-making.
  • Work on initiatives to refine our strategy and approach within the EMEA region and globally. This includes contributing to the evolution of our product roadmap, pricing strategies, go-to-market efforts, and other key growth drivers.
  • Represent Wise and Wise Platform at industry events and conferences, serving as the spokesperson for our enterprise platform vertical.

A bit about you:

  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in payments, with a strong focus on international payments for major enterprise platforms in EMEA.
  • A proven track record of developing and executing successful business strategies that drive significant revenue growth.
  • An interest, or career experience working in payments, spend management, travel, ecommerce, workforce platforms or marketplaces.
  • Strong negotiation skills, with the ability to independently secure optimal terms while maintaining a clear product vision and understanding the ideal operational and commercial processes for each new partner.
  • A hands-on approach, comfortable leading discussions and actively engaging with stakeholders.

For everyone, everywhere. We're people building money without borders — without judgement or prejudice, too. We believe teams are strongest when they are diverse, equitable and inclusive. We're proud to have a truly international team, and we celebrate our differences. Inclusive teams help us live our values and make sure every Wiser feels respected, empowered to contribute towards our mission and able to progress in their careers.
