Wise, one of the world's fastest-growing companies, is on a mission to redefine global finance by making money without borders the new norm.
Current banking systems present challenges in seamlessly sending, spending, and receiving money across borders. At Wise, we are crafting a new financial infrastructure to address these limitations.
We are seeking a Software Engineer based in our London office, offering a flexible combination of in-office and remote work. As an integral part of our mission, you will work in a team dedicated to launching and optimizing new products, building the most convenient and scalable financial services experience for people and businesses, which is compliant with local regulatory guidelines.
We want our product to be instant, so we integrate with the latest technology and local payment rails to make money movement instant and eventually free. We are working with LLMs, building integrations, and working with vendors.
This position is responsible for building and managing the infrastructure that enables Wise to send/receive money in MEA markets. You will help Wise's growth rate by unlocking core functionality through the power of partner APIs and cross-border payments infrastructure - in short, building products that will help Wise reach consumers and small businesses wherever they are managing their money in global environments.
You will integrate with several local partners and government institutions to power our financial services. You have a strong product mindset and passion for user experience, prioritising work with the customers in mind and making data-driven decisions to fix customer pain-points. You have built and designed scalable and performing systems and have experience building integrations with external partners.
You have experience with microservices architecture, asynchronous message queues, and SQL databases. You advocate for best coding practices, code reviews, and open feedback. You will have found your place in our mission by understanding how to drive engineering solutions and look to future challenges. You will understand our customers and the impact our product has on their lives, making contributions to the wider engineering goals of the company.
You will help us scale-up and build a world-class global finance product that impacts millions of customers.
Nice to have:
- You have worked with Java, preferably with Spring Boot
