As part of our team, you will be helping us create an entirely new network for the world's money. For everyone, everywhere.
We're looking for an experienced Analytics Director to lead our Regional Platform Squad. Regional Platform builds the platforms and frameworks that empower Wise engineers to seamlessly integrate Wise with payment systems across the globe. You'll play a key role in expanding our reach and improving the experience for millions of customers worldwide! You'll report to the Analytics Director for the Regional Expansion tribe, and partner with the Product and Engineering leads in the Regional Platform Squad. This role involves a 50/50 split between Squad leadership and analytics team scaling. Squad leadership involves partnering with the Engineering, Product and Design decision making group to drive the vision and roadmap for core services which power the Wise money movement engine (speed, payout, linking etc). In parallel, this role will own the challenge of scaling the team from 3 analysts (likely at least doubling in next 12m) to meet the growing demands of the 8+ teams (c.50 engineers) who need an analytics partner to drive the roadmap. If you've previously led or helped to build analytics teams in fast-paced, scaling, global companies - we'd love to hear from you. This is an AL3 role.
What you'll do:
- Partner with cross-functional (Product, Engineering etc.) leads to define the strategy for the Regional Platform squad.
- Identify opportunities for impact and bring them to life; review team plans and progress, giving them effective feedback.
- Establish clear goals, define measurable KPIs, and develop compelling narratives to communicate progress and proactively identify areas requiring action, both within and beyond the Regional Platform squad. This includes synthesizing data from various teams to provide a comprehensive view.
- Lead and develop a team of analysts. Support analyst professional development via performance feedback & coaching; hire and plan capacity; ensure analyst time is spent to maximise impact; increase scalability via automation.
- Take ownership of complex cross-team projects to help unblock critical product decisions, this could range from:
- Helping the team build granular data infrastructure sound payment processing to identify opportunities to deliver a more instant service to customers.
- Establishing Squad KPI's to focus the teams investment on the most impactful projects to drive expansion speed.
- Analysing SWIFT network data to optimise our offering in terms of price, speed and coverage.
Additional Information:
- Base salary of £135,000 - £190,000 RSU's in a growing and public company.
- Work from (almost) anywhere in the world for up to 90 days a year.
- Flexible working - you're trusted to do the right thing and be responsible.
- Private Medical Insurance + Life Insurance.
- Discounted gym memberships and cycle to work scheme.
- A paid 6-week sabbatical leave after four years.
- 26 weeks maternity leave at full pay.
- An annual self-development budget.
- Annual Mission Days festival.
- Pet friendly offices.
- Lots of fun group activities like yoga, running and boardgame nights.
