Job Description
Wise Owls Childcare is seeking a dynamic and organised individual to take on a unique dual role combining:
- Club Manager at our After School Club (Furze Platt, Maidenhead, SL6 7NQ)
- Office Administrator (based at our Head Office, SL6 2JH)
- Senior Team Member based at our holiday club in Maidenhead, SL6 5HE
This is an ideal opportunity for a qualified childcare professional who also enjoys administrative tasks and thrives in a varied role.
Responsibilities
Club Manager (Furze Platt):
- To supervise the day-to-day management of all areas of your club, the staff, training them and encouraging their personal development to thrive
- To ensure the children in our care aged 3-14 years have fun within our clubs with a range of activities including sports, outdoor play, arts and crafts, baking, experiments, homework sessions and you work in partnership with parent at all times
- To provide a happy, safe, stimulating, and inclusive environment for all children
- To follow the Clubs policies and procedures at all times
- To work as part of a team and be part of the Management group with your main focus as providing excellent childcare
- To assign a training buddy to all new staff and a clear training program to capture all the skills needed for their role and progression.
- To ensure all new employees have an effective induction and the induction programme is followed and completed to a high standard.
- To have a positive impact on the setting engaging with staff and supporting them with their roles.
- Ensuring the risk assessments are done, clear and capturing all risks of every aspect of the setting to ensure all staff, children and parents are safe at all times and followed by the staff.
- Have a clear understanding of the business strategy and expectations.
- Review and implement overall Wise Owls business plans with the Operations Director
- To work as part of a team and participate doing your role to your full potential every day at work.
- Be the Designated Safeguarding Lead for the club, ensuring safeguarding practices are always followed and any concerns are communicated to the relevant agencies and the Operations Director.
Office Administrator:
- General admin duties: emails, spreadsheets, calls, document handling
- Support with staffing, compliance, and scheduling
What Weβre Looking For
- Level 3 Childcare Qualification (essential)
- Strong admin and organisational skills
- Confident with Microsoft Word, Excel, email and telephone communication
- Excellent written and spoken English
- A proactive team player who can also work independently
- Full UK driving licence (essential β role involves travel between sites)
Working Pattern options
Term time would be: 40 hours all year around
Working 9.30am β 1.30pm Mon β Fri office then lunch break
Working 2.30pm β 6.30pm Monday β Friday. club
School holidays: 40 hours all year around
8.15am β 5.15pm Mon Wed Fri office with a 60 min lunch break
8.30am β 5.30 Tues & Thurs at the club with a 60 min lunch break
OR:
Term time would be: 40 hours, 38 weeks
Working 9.30 am β 1.30 pm Mon β Fri office then lunch break
Working 2.30 pm β 6.30 pm Monday β Friday. club
School holidays take 30 days off as per above, so choosing between 14 β 19 days off as per agreed and doing more part-time during the holiday period
School holidays: 32.5 hours 8 weeks
8.15 am β 3.15 pm Mon β Fri office 30 β 60 min lunch break
