We are working with a well-established and highly regarded law firm on the outskirts of Tunbridge Wells, who are looking to appoint an experienced Legal Cashier to join their finance team. This is a key position within the firm, supporting both the accounts function and fee earners on a day-to-day basis.
The Role
You will be taking over a well-established role with clear processes and responsibilities. The current post-holder plays a central part in the firm's financial operations and works closely with both clients and fee earners. A large part of the role involves using LEAP to manage the firm's billing and financial administration. This includes entering time, generating and issuing invoices, and handling client-to-office account transfers. You will also take ownership of LEAP administration, ensuring the system is kept accurate and up to date, enabling the external accountant to focus on reconciliations.
You will be responsible for credit control, actively chasing outstanding debts, and maintaining strong cash flow. In addition, you will handle client queries relating to invoices and liaise with fee earners to resolve any billing issues.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing billing processes via LEAP, including time entry and invoice generation
- Sending invoices and processing client-to-office transfers
- Full administration of the LEAP system
- Credit control and chasing outstanding debts
- Acting as a key point of contact for client billing queries
