My lovely client based in a rural location on the outskirts of Horsham is looking for an experienced Client Accounts and Tax Assistant to join their team. Working as part of a team of 7, they really are a friendly bunch, who strive to work hard, have a happy and productive working environment and provide an exemplary service to their many clients - many of whom have been with them for years.
Purpose: To deliver comprehensive accounting and tax services, including statutory accounts, tax returns, and VAT compliance, while fostering strong client relationships and ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements.
Main Responsibilities:
- Working closely with clients & develop excellent working relationships
- Accounts & taxable profits computations for sole traders & partnerships
- Statutory accounts and tax returns for limited companies & LLPs
- Self-Assessment tax returns for private clients, business & property owners
- VAT compliance & returns
- Reserves computations & dividend distributions
- Company minutes, resolutions, forms & returns e.g. confirmation statement
- Bookkeeping

PERSON SPECIFICATION
Knowledge:
- UK GAAP, FRS105 and FRS102 (s1A)
- Income tax for individuals & unincorporated businesses
- Corporation tax for small and micro entities
- VAT compliance for UK businesses
- Solid understanding of double entry bookkeeping
Skills/attributes:
- Share knowledge & experience, collaborate & communicate

Qualifications:

- Technologically proficient including Xero/QBO/Sage, MS Office applications, workflow/document management system
