Wise May are looking for a Governance Assistant to join this amazing Investment Management business in central London.
Someone with experience in a similar role is desirable due to the understanding and demands of a busy Legal department. The role is a maternity contract – 12 months FTC.
Governance Assistant duties include:
- Working closely with and supporting the Group Company Secretary to ensure compliance with relevant company law and regulation
- Preparation for and holding of Board and Committee Meetings, including the preparation of Board/Committee Meeting Agendas, Board/Committee Meeting Packs, assisting in the facilitation of Board/Committee Meetings, and assisting in the monitoring of follow-up actions
- Online filing system
- Working closely with the Legal, Finance, Compliance and Investment Teams
- Assisting in the development and implementation of an enhanced corporate governance framework across the Group and all jurisdictions
- Assisting in ensuring that the statutory records for entities remain complete, up-to-date and accurate.

Governance Assistant key competencies/skills required:
- Experience working in company secretary and/or legal teams ideal but not essential
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent IT skills, particularly Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Pro
- Exposure to Diligent Boardbooks and Entity Management desirable, but not essential
- Attention to detail and a well-organised approach to work
- The ability to prioritise work and to work well under pressure
