Wise May is recruiting for an Insurance Wording Specialist with MGA and Syndicate experience to join a global insurance and reinsurance provider, to ensure legal and regulatory compliance within policy wordings, clauses, contracts and endorsements. This is a full time, permanent position with hybrid working (4 days in the office and 1 day remote).
Insurance Wordings Specialist duties and responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Underwriters, Legal, Compliance and other teams to provide advice and guidance on policy language, coverage and potential risks.
- Ensure documents are legally and regulatorily compliant and align with regulatory standards, market practice and binding authority agreements.
- Create and upload policy wordings, clauses, and endorsements to reflect underwriting intent, regulatory requirements, and company standards.
- Develop and maintain libraries of approved template wordings and clauses.
- Actively monitor and analyse regulatory developments and market trends.
- Deliver training sessions to internal teams on best practices for wordings and documentation.
Insurance Wording Specialist key skills and experience required:
- MGA and Syndicate experience.
- Proven experience in insurance wordings and contract drafting, Lloyds wording knowledge is highly desirable.
- In-depth knowledge of insurance products and contract law with proficiency in interpreting complex concepts.
- Effective relationship management and stakeholder engagement skills, confident in engaging with colleagues across different business departments and representing the business at market forums.
- Strong analytical skills, with proficiency in analysing requests, identifying potential issues and proposing appropriate solutions.
- Able to manage and take responsibility for own workload, effectively coordinating multiple priorities.
- A high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Able to work in and contribute to the team.
