Wise May is currently recruiting on behalf of a rapidly growing defence organisation for a People Business Partner to join their expanding Operations team. This is an exciting opportunity to join an innovative and collaborative business within a high-growth environment, offering autonomy and the chance to shape people processes as the company continues to scale.

This is a full-time permanent opportunity offering hybrid working alongside a flexible, output-focused culture. Our client is looking for an adaptable and proactive individual who is comfortable working within a fast-paced environment and confident implementing new ideas and building processes from the ground up.

People Business Partner duties and responsibilities:
  • Partner with managers and leadership teams across multiple business functions
  • Provide support and guidance on Employee Relations matters
  • Support organisational growth, team structuring and workforce planning
  • Assist with performance management and employee development initiatives
  • Work closely with the internal Talent team to advise on hiring activity and business growth on an ad-hoc basis
  • Build and implement HR processes, policies and internal structures
  • Support training and people development across the organisation
  • Build strong working relationships across engineering and operational teams
  • Provide HR advice within a scaling environment
  • Contribute towards maintaining a collaborative and positive company culture
People Business Partner key skills and experience required:
  • Previous experience within an HR Business Partner or Senior HR Advisor role
  • Strong Employee Relations experience
  • Keen to work within a fast-paced and evolving environment
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Open-minded, adaptable and solutions-focused approach
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to prioritise workload
  • Experience supporting technical, engineering or high-growth businesses would be advantageous
  • Confident working with autonomy whilst collaborating closely with wider teams
