The role represents a unique opportunity to be involved with the UK's only manufacturer of large scale boat handling equipment and specialist industrial hoists. Join the team and be part of our transformation plan as we grow the business, build on our 50 year success in the Marine market and capitalise on recent orders with the MOD, Rolls Royce, SIEMENS and URENCO.

Duties Include:

  • Responsible for production of manufacturing and assembly drawings using SOLIDWORKS CAD for orders of new and existing product lines.
  • Production of Bought out Material lists.
  • Quality control of drawings.
  • Production of technical documentation packs.
  • Assisting the spare parts department with archive drawing information.
  • Working with the design team to overcome design challenges and assistance with new concept design.
  • Assistance with modelling, hand calculations and Stress Analysis/FEA.
  • Working within and assistance with the development of the WISE Quality Management System.
  • Additional duties commensurate with developing WISE product and process knowledge.
  • Additional duties commensurate with learning development plan.

Essential Skills:

  • HNC/HND level or equivalent in relevant engineering discipline.
  • Knowledge of Mechanical Design Engineering principles.
  • 3D CAD Practitioner (SOLIDWORKS preferred).
  • Experienced in use of MS Office applications.

Desirable Skills:

  • Degree level in relevant engineering discipline.
  • Knowledge of Manufacturing processes, fabrication, machining and assembly of heavy equipment.
  • Knowledge of Electromechanical and hydraulic systems.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001:2020 Quality Management System standards.
