The role represents a unique opportunity to be involved with the UK's only manufacturer of large scale boat handling equipment and specialist industrial hoists. Duties Include:
- Responsible for production of manufacturing and assembly drawings using SOLIDWORKS CAD for orders of new and existing product lines.
- Production of Bought out Material lists.
- Quality control of drawings.
- Production of technical documentation packs.
- Assisting the spare parts department with archive drawing information.
- Working with the design team to overcome design challenges and assistance with new concept design.
- Assistance with modelling, hand calculations and Stress Analysis/FEA.
- Working within and assistance with the development of the WISE Quality Management System.
- Additional duties commensurate with developing WISE product and process knowledge.
- Additional duties commensurate with learning development plan.
Essential Skills:
- HNC/HND level or equivalent in relevant engineering discipline.
- Knowledge of Mechanical Design Engineering principles.
- 3D CAD Practitioner (SOLIDWORKS preferred).
- Experienced in use of MS Office applications.
Desirable Skills:
- Degree level in relevant engineering discipline.
- Knowledge of Manufacturing processes, fabrication, machining and assembly of heavy equipment.
- Knowledge of Electromechanical and hydraulic systems.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001:2020 Quality Management System standards.
