Wise Employment are looking for a Grounds Operative to join a fantastic organisation in Sidmouth, East Devon on a temporary basis with the possibility of going permanent.

This fantastic opportunity offers £13.72 per hour and will be working a 41.5 a week, Monday – Thursday 7:30pm – 4:30pm and a 4pm Friday Finish.

Due to the nature of the Grounds Operative position, candidates will need to be willing to work outside and in all weather! (Full PPE will be provided).

As a Grounds Operative your role will include:

Grounds Maintenance – mowing, strimming, hedge trimming, planting, weeding, watering
Street Cleansing – litter picking, emptying bins, sweeping, beach cleaning
Public Toilets – cleaning and light maintenance
Support Events – bin and waste services for Council events
Operate Vehicles & Equipment – safely and responsibly
To be successful in this role you will need:

A Basic literacy and ability to use smartphones for work tracking
Full valid UK driving licence (C1/C1E/C preferred or pre-1997 B)
Physically fit and able to work outdoors in all weathers
Able to work independently and as part of a team
Respectful, reliable, and safety-aware
Willing to work flexible hours, including weekends when required
Successful candidates will need a Basic Disclosure Check
