CNC Machinist

Full-Time No home office possible

Wise Employment is recruiting for a permanent CNC Machinist (Miller) position at a reputable company based in Plymouth.

Salary: £33,462 per annum. Working Monday to Friday 39 hours per week (Monday to Thursday 7am to 3:30pm and Friday 7am to 2pm).

Programming, setting up and operating XYZ Prototrak and LPM CNC Machinist milling machines to manufacture low volume and one-off components in a variety of materials.
Using inspection equipment to ensure all sizes, geometric tolerances and surface finish requirements are adhered to.
Checking own work and possessing strong knowledge of Health and Safety procedures to use manual machinery to finish work off if required.

Strong background in Engineering Manufacturing with at least 5 years’ experience, preferably within a precision engineering environment.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and customer specifications ensuring all components are within specified tolerances.
Experience working to tight tolerances and good comprehension of geometric tolerances and symbols.
Knowledge of grinding and turning is advantageous.
Strong knowledge of Health and Safety procedures.
