Your Key Responsibilities:
- Minimize spend and inventory while ensuring timely delivery
- Secure the best total price and service levels
- Provide cover for the Direct Purchasing Manager when needed
- Identify and implement strategies for reducing expenditure
- Build strong relationships and assess potential new suppliers
- Adhere to sourcing policies, risk management, and procurement regulations
- Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies
What You'll Need:
- A Bachelor's Degree (or higher) in Business, Supply Chain Management, Law, or a related field
- CIPS Level 5+ (preferred but not essential)
Experience & Knowledge:
- Background in indirect procurement within a manufacturing environment
- Strong contract negotiation and supplier management experience
- Understanding of UK contract and Chancery related law and procurement regulations
- Experience in leading cross-functional cost-saving projects
Key Skills:
- Excellent communication & negotiation abilities
- Strong Excel & SAP proficiency
- Proactive and analytical mindset with keen attention to detail
- Ability to work independently & collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
