We have a fantastic opportunity to join a rapidly growing company here in Plymouth. This role is a permanent Full Time role based in Plymouth. Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Minimize spend and inventory while ensuring timely delivery
  • Secure the best total price and service levels
  • Provide cover for the Direct Purchasing Manager when needed
  • Identify and implement strategies for reducing expenditure
  • Build strong relationships and assess potential new suppliers
  • Adhere to sourcing policies, risk management, and procurement regulations
  • Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies

What You'll Need:

  • A Bachelor's Degree (or higher) in Business, Supply Chain Management, Law, or a related field
  • CIPS Level 5+ (preferred but not essential)

Experience & Knowledge:

  • Background in indirect procurement within a manufacturing environment
  • Strong contract negotiation and supplier management experience
  • Understanding of UK contract and Chancery related law and procurement regulations
  • Experience in leading cross-functional cost-saving projects

Key Skills:

  • Excellent communication & negotiation abilities
  • Strong Excel & SAP proficiency
  • Proactive and analytical mindset with keen attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently & collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
