Wise Employment are currently recruiting for an exciting permanent opportunity for a CNC Machinist (Miller)for a well-established and reputable company based in Plymouth
Due to continued growth and investment, we are looking for an experienced CNC Machinist (Miller) for a permanent role offering a salary of Β£33,462 per annum. This will be working Monday to Friday 39 hours per week (Monday to Thursday 7am to 330pm and 7am to 2pm on a Friday).
You will need to have a strong background in Engineering Manufacturing as essential and preferably at least 5 yearsβ experience. You will be required to have experience within a precision engineering environment and be able to read and interpret engineering drawings along with customer specifications ensuring that all components are within specified tolerances.
You will need to have experience of working to tight tolerances and a good comprehension of geometric tolerances and symbols. A knowledge of grinding and turning would be advantageous.
As a CNC Machinist (Miller) you will be responsible for programming, setting and operating a number of XYZ Prototrak and LPM CNC Machinist on milling machines to manufacture low volume and one-off components in a variety of materials.
You will need to use inspection equipment to ensure that all sizes, geometric tolerances and surface finish requirements are adhered to. You will be required to be able to check your own work also and possess a strong knowledge of Health and Safety procedures to use manual machinery to finish work off if required.
