This Medical Director role primarily serves as a Medical Monitor (MM), with core responsibilities of developing, managing, and reporting data from Phase 1‑4 clinical trial protocols involving both adult and pediatric studies. You will contribute to our mission by helping make novel, broadly useful medications available for people living with HIV.
As a Clinical Trial Director, you will support study design, medical governance, and the medical team’s perspective on study conduct. You will lead medical queries from study sites or Principal Investigators, provide oversight throughout the trial, and contribute to data collection, read‑out, and interpretation. You will work closely with project physicians, clinical scientists, and external healthcare providers, collaborating with internal leaders in virology, pharmacology, biostatistics, data management, drug safety, and regulatory affairs. Building strong working relationships across matrix teams is essential.
Key Responsibilities- Contribute to study protocol development and writing.
- Develop supplementary study documents, including procedures manual, reporting and analysis plan, and protocol deviation management plan.
- Respond to regulatory authority queries regarding clinical studies.
- Support clinical scientists in preparing answers for local Institutional Review Board and Ethical Review Committee questions.
- Address medical issues and concerns during feasibility assessment, interacting with investigators and their teams.
- Provide a medical perspective on overall study conduct, procedures, and management of safety events to the clinical study team.
- Participate in Investigator Meetings at study start, presenting medical and safety aspects pertinent to the trial.
- Provide daily medical oversight to study participants, answering questions from study sites or Principal Investigators.
- Support regulatory filings to U.S. and international health authorities during and after trial conduct.
- Liaise with site investigators to obtain documentation for safety reviews.
- Consult with external collaborators and scientific consultants.

Basic Qualifications- Physician (MD, DO or equivalent) with experience in Infectious Diseases or HIV.
- Experience in drug development or clinical trials.
- Physician (MD, DO) with a clinical fellowship in Infectious Diseases and/or HIV treatment experience, and/or experience in clinical development and/or clinical trials execution in Infectious Diseases and/or pediatric ID.
- Experience in drug development and clinical trials specific to HIV or Infectious Diseases.
- Leadership experience, including working within a matrix environment.
- Active medical license or equivalent qualification to practice medicine.
- Effective communication skills and ability to build strong professional relationships across functional areas.
