We manufacture and supply reliable, high‑quality medicines and vaccines to meet patients' needs and drive our performance. Our network of 37 medicines and vaccines manufacturing sites delivered 1.7 billion packs of medicines and 409 million vaccine doses in 2024 to help make a positive impact on the health of millions of people. Our supply chain is kernel to our operations and vital to bringing our innovations to patients quickly, efficiently and effectively. Technology is transforming how we manufacture medicines and vaccines, enabling us to increase speed, quality and scale of product supply.

You will lead the onsite integrated facilities management (IFM) team at Barnard Castle, working closely with engineering, operations and suppliers. You will manage the overall delivery, driving facility and cleaning standards across the site. This role gives career growth, visible impact and the chance to support GSK's mission of uniting science, technology and talent to get ahead of disease together.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the IFM Programme at the Barnard Castle site, ensuring effective delivery and high standards across each business unit.
  • Manage budgets, schedules and scope to meet performance, safety and quality targets.
  • Select, manage and coordinate contractors and suppliers for safe delivery.
  • Coach and develop IFM team to build capability.
  • Ensure compliance with site safety, environmental and engineering standards.
Working Model

This role is based at the Barnard Castle site, United Kingdom, 5 days a week onsite.

Basic Qualification
  • Degree or equivalent qualification in facilities management or related discipline.
  • Strong experience in facilities management in a complex environment.
  • Strong contractor and supplier management experience with contract oversight.
  • Clear communicator with stakeholder engagement and problem‑solving skills.
  • Experience in budget management.
Preferred Qualification
  • Experience in pharmaceutical, biotech or other highly regulated manufacturing settings.
  • Experience with site master planning and long‑term facilities strategy.
  • Knowledge of environmental and energy reduction measures for utilities.
  • Experience coaching and developing engineers in a matrix environment.
