WisdomTree is seeking a motivated and driven Public Relations (PR) Specialist based in London. The PR Specialist will report to the Director, Communications and will be responsible for managing day-to-day media relations, supporting strategic communications initiatives, coordinating press activity, and helping to drive brand visibility across financial and investment media.
We are looking for an experienced PR professional with strong investment knowledge and experience working within asset management, preferably ETFs. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the media landscape, excellent relationship‑building skills, and the ability to manage multiple communications initiatives in a fast‑paced environment. They will work closely with internal stakeholders, journalists, and European PR agencies to support proactive and reactive communications activity across European markets.
Job Purpose- Support European media relations activity, helping to enhance brand visibility and strengthen engagement with financial, trade, and national media.
- Manage relationships with journalists, media contacts, and Pan‑European PR agencies to support proactive media engagement and communications activity across European markets.
- Coordinate proactive and reactive PR activity including media enquiries, interviews, press events, thought leadership campaigns, and product‑related communications.
- Partner with internal stakeholders across Marketing, Research, and Sales to identify media opportunities and support broader commercial objectives.
- Monitor, track, and report internally on media coverage, interview outcomes, and engagement activity, identifying follow‑up opportunities where relevant.
- Coordinate press events, media briefings, and external communications activity.
- Manage inbound journalist requests, coordinating responses, interview scheduling, and related logistics in a regulatory compliant manner.
- Prepare spokespeople for interviews and external engagements, supporting and staffing interviews where required.
- Build and maintain relationships with journalists and identify opportunities to increase media engagement and coverage.
- Act as the day‑to‑day liaison for Pan‑European PR agencies to support campaigns, thought‑leadership activity, and brand awareness initiatives.
- Support content distribution and campaign‑driven PR activity across European markets.
- Proactively drive thought‑leadership activity across Europe, including the development of local story angles in conjunction with PR agencies.
- Draft communications materials including press releases, briefing notes, articles, and award entries.
- Oversee media monitoring, coverage analysis, and internal reporting processes.
- Contribute ideas and strategic input to support PR campaigns and broader media initiatives.
- Manage project timelines and ensure PR initiatives are delivered efficiently and on schedule.
- 3–5 years of PR experience within the asset management industry (ETF experience/knowledge preferred).
- Strong understanding of financial media, investment markets, and the ETF landscape.
- Experience managing media enquiries, interviews, and journalist relationships.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities and stakeholder expectations in a fast‑paced environment.
- Strong relationship‑building skills and confidence engaging with journalists, executives, and external partners.
- Enthusiastic and motivated team player, able to work effectively across teams and departments.
