The Stores & Inventory Administrator is responsible for maintaining the stock of electrical materials and equipment, ensuring all inventory is accurately received, recorded, stored, and issued. The role supports the efficient operation of the warehouse by maintaining accurate stock levels, assisting with deliveries and logistics, and completing associated administrative tasks to ensure materials are readily available for projects and day-to-day operations.
Responsibilities
- Receive and inspect deliveries of electrical equipment, tools, and materials
- Manage and organize the warehouse to ensure safe and efficient storage of materials
- Keep accurate inventory of all incoming and outgoing materials
- Conduct regular stock checks to ensure inventory is properly accounted for
- Liaise with the purchasing department to ensure timely order of materials
- Execute proper handling and storage of hazardous materials
- Collaborate with supervisors and project managers to ensure proper allocation and distribution of materials
- Ensure that all work is completed within defined timeframes and to the required standards
- Perform any other related duties as assigned by the supervisor.
- Ensure adherence to the Business Management System (BMS) by consistently following ISO 9001, 14001 & 45001 procedures, contributing to continuous improvement efforts, and supporting compliance with quality, environmental & health and safety management standards across all operations.
Qualifications
- At least 2 years of experience in inventory management or related field
- Sound knowledge of electrical materials and tools
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in computer applications such as MS Office, Excel, and inventory management software
- Must be physically fit, and able to lift and move heavy loads
- Attention to detail, accuracy, and commitment to quality.
