Overview

Clinical Skills Nursing Associate will actively participate in provision of educational activities undertaken within the Clinical Skills Centre and in clinical areas. To assist in all required aspects of the daily running of the Clinical Skills Centre including assisting with training as part of Clinical Education and Development Team. Communication with members of the multidisciplinary teams is essential in ensuring seamless and excellent provision of training. The post-holder will be a highly organised individual with attention to detail to ensure minimal disruption of course delivery. The role is flexible and adaptable to the changing needs of the health and social care systems. Supervision and teaching of junior staff will be part of the role. Primarily be based in the Clinical Skills Team but will be expected to work flexibly across the service to provide support and training to support staff, particularly those new to role. Have clinical credibility to act as a role model for clinical support staff in order to promote safe and quality care. Must adhere to WUTH policies and procedures at all times. Must conduct self as required by the national code of conduct for healthcare support workers and work within the scope of own practice.
