Elleray Park School is a Primary Special School for children with severe and complex needs. We are looking to appoint a TA1 who is passionate about working with children with additional needs. The hours for this role are 12:00 - 13:20 Monday to Friday, term time only.
Elleray Park School is seeking lunchtime support assistants (TA1) to join our dedicated team in supporting pupils with complex needs during the midday period. Our school provides a nurturing, inclusive environment for children and young people aged 3-11 with a range of complex learning difficulties, physical disabilities, and medical needs.
Key Responsibilities:- Support pupils during the lunch break, including feeding support where necessary.
- Assist with personal care and mobility needs in a respectful and dignified manner.
- Engage pupils in positive play and social interaction.
- Work as part of a supportive team to ensure the safety and wellbeing of all pupils.
- Maintain a calm and caring approach in a busy environment.
- Is kind, reliable, and enjoys working with children with additional needs.
- Can remain calm under pressure and work flexibly as part of a team.
- Is willing to undertake training in areas such as manual handling, feeding, and personal care.
- Has experience working in a school or care setting (desirable but not essential).
