1 FTE MPS/UPS (Plus SEN1) Required from 01/09/2026. The Oldershaw School is an 11-16 co-educational comprehensive situated in Wirral, which is an easy commute from Liverpool and Chester. We are seeking to appoint an inspiring, innovative and highly motivated teacher to join our Sycamore Resourced Base provision team, with experience teaching SEND students at KS3 and KS4 to GCSE level. The successful candidate will join a passionate and experienced team and be well supported to continue their own professional development.
Our Sycamore provision is a MLD specialist, resourced base provision onsite for students with a range of additional needs who have an EHCP and require additional support to access the national curriculum and GCSEs. The resourced base allows students with Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD) to access mainstream education where they receive a meaningful and personalised education whilst integrating within a mainstream setting. Students are taught their subjects by the specialist teaching staff with the support of teaching assistants. Students do also access some lessons in the main school building too, including some options subjects in Key Stage 4. The Sycamore team also support the students pastorally in form time and in PSHE.
