28.25 Hours Per Week 39 Weeks Per Year Band G Required from 01/09/2026. West Kirby Primary School is seeking an enthusiastic employee to inspire our pupils to develop a lifelong love of physical activity. The successful candidate will deliver engaging, high-quality sports sessions that promote teamwork, confidence, and healthy lifestyles. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real impact on children's wellbeing and physical development within a supportive school community. The children at WKPS have a passion for PE and look forward to their PE sessions each week.
The successful candidate will deliver lessons from F1 through to Year 6. Duties will include:
- working alongside our PE lead
- working alongside class teachers
- supporting children at sporting events
- lunchtime sports provision
- training and supporting Play Leaders and Sports Leaders
- delivering curriculum PE (using our PE scheme)
- after school sports provision
There may also be some classroom based duties, which will need to be supported by a good understanding of the National Curriculum and EYFS Framework. The successful candidate will be fully involved in school life at our school. Visits to our school are warmly welcome to gain more knowledge about the role.
