Required to start September 2026 TA2, Full Time, Fixed Term, 32 hours per week. Brookdale Primary School is seeking to appoint a Teaching Assistant to join our wonderful, experienced TA team. We are looking for a dynamic and compassionate individual who is passionate about nurturing young minds and making a positive impact in education. If you have an ability to create positive relationships with children, excellent communication skills and a desire to support teachers in delivering high-quality education, we want to hear from you!

The Role: As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the classroom teacher in delivering engaging lessons and providing individualised support to children. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting with classroom activities and projects
  • Providing one-to-one support to specific pupils
  • Helping to create a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Supporting the teacher with administrative tasks and classroom management
  • Collaborating with colleagues to develop and implement effective teaching strategies

Requirements:

  • English and Maths qualification at GCSE level (Grade 4+ or A*-C)
  • Relevant experience working with children in an educational setting (preferred)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • A passion for education and a desire to make a difference in the lives of young learners
  • Willingness to undergo relevant training and development opportunities

Application forms and supporting letters must be submitted, explaining on no more than two sides of A4 paper how they meet the essential and desirable criteria for the role. These should be returned to school for the attention of the Headteacher, Mrs Kate Ball, by the closing date.

The closing date for completed applications is Friday 22nd May at 12 Noon. Interviews will be held in June.
