- About Solar Campus
Solar Campus is an innovative specialist provision within The Observatory School, supporting pupils aged 11-16 with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs whose placements in larger school environments have broken down.
Our pupils are bright, capable and full of potential.
Many have experienced disrupted education, trauma or significant barriers to learning.
Our role is to help them reconnect with education, develop confidence and prepare successfully for adulthood.
Our classes are deliberately small, allowing staff the time and opportunity to build meaningful relationships, understand each young person and deliver highly personalised learning.
Education at Solar extends far beyond the classroom.
Alongside core academic subjects, pupils access a rich programme of vocational learning, outdoor education, preparation for adulthood, enrichment activities and personalised pathways that enable them to rediscover success.
