About the role
We are seeking an organised, proactive, and compliance‑focused Compliance Officer to support the safe and efficient management of our school estate. This role plays a key part in ensuring that all schools remain fully compliant with statutory, regulatory, and best practice requirements across a wide range of building safety disciplines. It is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their compliance career within a varied and rewarding education environment.
Key responsibilities:
- Support the safe and efficient management of the school estate.
- Ensure full compliance with statutory, regulatory, and best practice requirements across building safety disciplines.
- Co‑ordinate compliance activities and maintain up‑to‑date records of safety inspections and risk assessments.
- Assist in the development and review of policies and procedures relating to building safety and asset management.
- Provide guidance and support to school staff on health and safety matters.
About the candidate
We are looking for a motivated and detail‑driven individual with a strong interest in compliance, asset management, and building safety within an educational sector setting. The successful candidate will have:
- Experience in a facilities, compliance, asset management or estates support role, ideally within education, local government, or a similar multi‑building environment.
- A willingness to work towards recognised professional membership.
- Enthusiasm for building safety, asset management and ensuring high standards across a diverse school estate.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
