Wirral Met College is looking for a Lecturer/Trainer Assessor - Electrical to join our Construction Department. This is a 35 hours per week, full-time, permanent role offering a salary of up to Β£43,439 per annum.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To assist with the development, organisation and management of high-quality teaching and learning in the curriculum area of Construction/Electrical.
  • To provide high quality, flexible teaching, learning, advice and assessment to students on Work Based Learning programmes in the workplace or on college sites.
  • To carry out formal scheduled teaching.
  • To develop and prepare learning and assessment materials, current to the industry.
  • To mark students' work and examinations, moderation and verification, timely and efficiently.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Hold a vocational qualification minimum level 3 in Electrical Installation.
  • Hold a teaching or training qualification, e.g. Level 3 Award in Education & Training or PTLLS or be willing to work towards within 12 months.
  • Hold a minimum level 2 literacy/English qualification and a minimum level 2 numeracy/maths qualification.
  • Possess a full understanding of all aspects of Electrical qualifications underpinned by relevant industrial experience.
