We are looking for a Lecturer in Accountancy and Business to join our team. This is a 21 hours per week, part-time, permanent role offering a salary of £18,846 to £26,064 per annum. Job Purpose / Key Responsibilities
- Carry out formal scheduled teaching, tutorials, apprenticeship delivery and assessments; prepare learning materials and support students and apprentices in their studies.
- Operate as part of a team in the monitoring, reviewing and evaluation of all aspects of the programme(s).
- Act as a personal tutor to groups of students.
- Prepare students for external awarding body examinations.
- Mark students' work and examinations, internal moderation and verification as part of the team.
Skills and Qualifications
- Level 2 or above English/Maths or equivalent.
- Qualifications in accountancy at Level 4.
- Recognised full teaching qualification or willing to successfully complete a level 5 teaching award or equivalent within 12 months of appointment.
- Evidence of successful teaching experience and preparation of students for exams at level 2 and above.
- Demonstrated knowledge and practice of effective and inclusive group teaching and learning strategies.
- Thorough knowledge of the relevant standards pertaining to the teaching specialism.
