We are looking for a Mathematics Lecturer to join our team. This is a 35 hours per week, full-time, permanent role offering a salary of £31,410 to £43,440 per annum.

Job Purpose / Key Responsibilities
As a Mathematics Lecturer you will provide engaging and effective instruction to a diverse range of students studying mathematics from Entry level up to Higher tier GCSE. This encompasses developing and delivering well-structured lessons that cater to various learning styles, employing a variety of teaching methodologies, and ensuring that all learners grasp fundamental mathematical concepts. Additionally, mathematics lecturers play a crucial role in supporting students’ academic progress by setting achievable goals, providing regular feedback, and assisting with revision and exam preparation.
Skills and Qualifications
- Teaching qualification (Certificate of Education, PGCE or equivalent).
- Hold a specialist Level 4/5 Maths qualification (or from a related discipline e.g. Engineering).
- Minimum Level 2 English/Literacy qualification.
- Able to evidence successful experience of teaching Functional Skills maths and GCSE Maths.
- Be able to demonstrate knowledge and practice of effective and inclusive group teaching and learning strategies.
- Have a thorough knowledge of GCSE Maths specifications and/or Functional Skills standards.
