We are looking for a Lecturer in Health & Psychology to join our team. This is a 35 hours per week, fixed-term role until October 2027 offering a salary of £31,410 to £43,440 per annum.

Job Purpose / Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out formal scheduled teaching, tutorials, and assessments.
  • Include the preparation of learning materials, students’ assignments and support students in their studies both during scheduled teaching sessions and during periods of self‑directed study.
  • Act as a personal tutor to groups of students, setting targets and holding reviews.
  • Manage and maintain appropriate programmes, College records, and quality systems to ensure high performance.
  • Management and supervision of student visit programmes.
  • Work with staff across both the department and college to ensure student experience and engagement is excellent.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Degree or equivalent qualification in a related subject area.
  • Teaching qualification.
  • GCSE grade C/4 or above in English and Maths.
  • Successful teaching experience of post 16 learners.
  • Experience liaising with other staff to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Experience with Internal Verification in preparation for external verification.
